The Move

One day back in March,
I logged on to facebook and stumbled across an update from Taylor's cousin;
she was asking if anyone wanted to rent their house up here in the CV.
They were going to take a job-offer on the east coast for a few years,
and were looking for dependable renters.

The promise of air conditioning,

a dishwasher,

two bathrooms,

three bedrooms,

a garage,

and a (future) yard
was enough to seal the deal.

Since moving in,
there has been a lot of change:

newly acquired patio furniture,
grass,
a garden,
(which came with a few mishaps...
...who knew a tomato cage could cause so many tears?)
a brand new (ten dollar DI find) bike,
with after-market tassels, bell and a basket so that it "totally looks like a girl bike",
sprinklers,
a pool,
lots of new friends,
and of course,
a baby sister.

We have loved our decision to move out of student housing
(with the exception of leaving our friends;
good thing they're only a few minutes away).
Cheers to our new house!

Hooray for houses! We rented apartments for 8 years before getting into a house. So much nicer!

I laughed at the tomato cage. You've got to be loving cooking a kitchen bigger than a closet. Too bad this house didn't come in a "hobo spider-free" version.

I love the house. And I love how you decorated everything. I'm still in awe of the garden and dreaming of Taylor's pesto. Amazing.

Very cute, love everything you've done with the place! Saw a comment about hobo-spiders- are you seeing spiders? humm... we will see what we can do about that.

Yay Crystal! I am so happy for you! It looks great! I am not a decorator and my house struggles-and I dont have kids taking my time or making a mess. You would think I would have a better looking house. Oh well. I will be as good as you one day! enjoy your garden. . . mine is a dust patch now. It did not do well at all, so I gave up-sad.
