Goodbye Summer... Hello Fall

Fall is upon us and although I hate saying goodbye to summer, there are definitely things about fall that I love:

Layered shirts and snuggly clothes
Fall decorations
Perfect grilling temperatures
Fall scents
Pumpkins and gourds
Picking apples
alright... I just watched, but it was thoroughly entertaining watching these grown boys climbing trees and throwing apples.
(me, watching)The weather and the leaves
I love when the season first starts to change. The air is warm but has that hint of crisp and leaves are still mostly green with a few specks of color.
The following were taken in Sardine Canyon
(We passed quite a few cars while I was hanging out the window with my camera. I'm sure they thought I was crazy or creepily trying to snap a picture of them)
and these were taken in Taylor's parents backyard
(if you look close, you can see the sheep)
and last, but not least, the fall wardrobe!
Hazel is slowly but surely growing out of her 0-3 month clothes. Her 3-6 month clothes fit great and if I'm really creative I can get some of her 6-9 month outfits to work (notice her capri's that are rolled up on the bottom and the makeshift ribbon belt).

Can I tell you how creepy it is, I already have my next post planned out and it too was titled "goodbye summer, hello fall" in my mind. I may have to rethink it. Fall wardrobe is the best!! I love love love it. Utah is beautiful in the fall- I wish I had that scenery in my backyard. Hazel is turning into quite the little lady.

Could your baby BE any cuter? Such a little darling. I also love all of the same things about fall. Except when it comes to apple picking. That usually doesn't fall into our fall happenings, but it looks like a good time.

Isn't it kind of sad that Summer has come to an end? but it is so exciting, fall is my favorite, the beginning of the holidays and the cool crisp air like you were saying! Too bad I missed out on the apple picking, enrichment was fun though. The Hazel girl is too cute, we sure love her, what a sweet sweet face.

i too am loving fall more and more....maybe because summer is over-rated once you're out of school and not so ready for a break?? i love all the scenery pics....anytime i can see the mountains it makes me happy! that's for sure one thing i miss about being here in OH....we don't get to see all the gorgeous fall colors on the mountains.

Hazel looks adorable...i love her flower. i can't believe she's just growing out of her 0-3 mo stuff....i'm putting E in some of her 6-9 mo stuff for the first time and it's quite snug. makes me sad she's growing so fast! :)

your fall decor is darling....maybe i'll get mine out this weekend!

ps....i pulled up this post earlier and wasn't able to make a comment due to a busy, crazy child on my lap! BUT, she did squeal and start talking when i was looking at all of hazel's pictures close-up. She must miss her friend!

Hazel looks so cute in her new Fall clothes. I also love it when the leaves start to change. Actually, I love Fall all around, it is my favorite season! It is still pretty warm here (it has actually been perfect weather- mid 70's) too warm for Fall clothes yet, but poor little Abbi has outgrown most of her Summer wardrobe. Poor little baby has spent multiple days sweltering in long sleeves and pants (but still looking pretty darn cute!) I am impressed that your decorations are all out already- way to go!

You always have the best pictures! It makes me excited for fall! Last year, I think I put up all my decorations on Sept 1st! I guess I'm not that ambitious this year.... still waiting for those decorations to put themselves up!

Our camping trip was terrible! I could probably post about it on my blog....
Anyway... Hazel looks so cute and very clean! How did you manage? My kids get SO dirty. Where did you go camping? It looked like a great place.
Cute fall decor!

Too cute on the little one:) I sure enjoy all things fall also. Maybe because it's the prelude to all things family that are to come (Halloween, Pie Night, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) Love it!!!

Your house looks so cute all decorated for fall. I also LOVE the fall scents, etc. Yum!

Picking apples looks like a great time! What did they do with all the apples they picked? You should make apple sauce for baby Hazel. :)

Taylors parents yard looks incredible! What a great place to live!

Hazel is so cute! I'm glad that she is getting to start into a new wardrobe. Fun! She looks so cute in her little capri's and ribbon belt. I also love the layered look! She could look cute in anything. I can't wait to see her again. Any tips on what you're feeding Hazel? Is she drinking water/apple juice, etc? What foods is she liking! I should just call you... ;)

your house is so cute, I love your fall decorations. I would love to see you, I went to a wedding in Logan two weeks ago and wondered where you lived. So if you are interested in the bookclub we are reading 13th tale next month, or if you just want to meet some new faces we are going to the capital to see the new renovation tour (kids are welcome) and then for a walk in memory grove. I am up for coming to Logan to look around sometime too. I am going to open a yahoo chat group so we can all email each other with ideas and just keep in touch in general.

I miss the autumn months of Utah, I really miss the wardrobe change. Apple picking looks like fun...and I am glad that you were safe and sound on the ground.

Hazel is so darling, and I love the ribbon belt. She is such a lucky girl to have a very stylish mother. Maybe more than a jacket is in store soon, my friend Kelly told me that you are expecting SNOW one of these days. Say its not true.
