I was a little late posting Halloween pictures and then had them up for far too long, so I decided that I was going to be the first blogger to put up Thanksgiving pictures. Pre-Thanksgiving pictures to be exact, and it wouldn't be Pre-Thanksgiving if I didn't make a list of things that I'm thankful for:
1. Taylor
2. Taylor's Turkey smoker. You haven't lived until you've eaten smoked turkey.
7. My Dad
(Parents who host a fantastic Pre-Thanksgiving dinner and do the dishes get an extra helping of thankfulness from me)
8. I am NOT thankful for BYU this week. This shot was taken early on in the game before BYU totally failed us, hence the cheering and happy faces.
13. Time for relaxation
14. And last but not least, the annual lighting of the Frost Family Christmas Lights!
So there you have it, a list of things that we should all be thankful for. And don't think that just because I posted a Pre-Thanksgiving post that I'm not going to have a post next week dedicated to the actual day of Thanksgiving, because let's face it, Thanksgiving is the most magical time of the year... lots of food and none of the worries about gifts.

You should have made a "Not Thankful" list, headed up with the fact that your favorite brother lives in Virginia.
We did use Bennett and Becka as your replacements last night, and that worked out ok. We had pie, but not smoked turkey. Of course, I would have preferred Taylor's fried-and-flavor-injected turkey. Like my buddy Dave Barry says: "The "hot" new Thanksgiving culinary trend is to cook turkeys in big deep-fat fryers, which are hugely popular because they give guys an excuse to spend Thanksgiving outside drinking beer and messing around with a device that could potentially destroy an entire neighborhood. Now that guys have decided to become seriously involved in Thanksgiving food preparation, it's only a matter of time before they come up with a recipe for mashed potatoes that involves a grenade launcher."
Somebody needs to tell Dave Barry that Taylor combined the two, and made a potato launcher. I don't think you'd want to eat the results, though.
You are lucky you get to go to your parents for Pre-Thanksgiving. I am jealous, the rolls look great and I hear the pie is amazingly delicious. How cute are you preggers?
Agreed! :)
I want 2 Thanksgivings! I want smoked Turkey...yum!! I just can't wait Thanksgiving is a beautiful time of the year(I like the day before this year just a little bit more...) Nothing is better than spending time with your family. I love families(even other peoples)
Crystal, you are so sweet. I'm adding one to that post--a daughter named Crystal who is so fun to be with and that I always look forward to the next visit as her taillights leave my driveway!! Thanks for coming down, helping out, going to Church with me, and making me laugh. Love you, girlie!! And PS to all Frosts who weren't there--we missed you immensely. It's just not the same when chaos is missing...
Oh I didn't know that you guys were BYU fans...that might change our friendship a little bit....(of course I'm just kidding, sarcasm doesn't translate well on comments left on blogs). I'm glad you guys had a Happy Pre-Thanksgiving. I'm also a big Thanksgiving fan. I think we should do away with most present giving on holidays and just enjoy the company and the food. Life would be much more enjoyable.
Now that is the way to start the week. I have to say that I have not heard of a pre-Thanksgiving bash, but I think that you are really on to something there.
I love the sound of smoked turkey, and the fact that it is taking place in a garbage can just makes it all the more exciting.
That was a wonderful list. I am glad to see that BINGO is still alive and kicking in some homes around the world. And I am also happy to know that there will be more fun and turkey to come. I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
So jealous of PRE-THANKSGIVING! This is my fave holiday...how lucky to celebrate twice! You look super cute! I've heard for years now about Taylor's deep fried turkeys and still never tasted it. There's something wrong with that!
So, we didn't talk last weekend like you promised. :( We will need to chat this weekend and make some arrangements...hopefully meliss will need a little break from all the chaos and be on board with that.
Crystal, that looks so fun! To bad we're going to miss Taylor's turkey again this year, but I have had it before and it IS amazing. That is fun that you got to share the holiday with your family before the actual day!
Sometimes when I read your blog I want to be part of your family! You guys always have the best time together! I'm on my countdown....19 days until I'm with my family!
I love Taylor's expression in his pictures and no one can grow a beard like he can. Next year maybe you and Rachel will have to make some humble pie for everyone at pie night.
Pre-Thanksgiving!??!! I dont usually look forward to Pre-Thanksgiving, I look forward to Post-Thanksgiving, hince the holiday "BLACK FRIDAY!" I'm super excited. But maybe if I celebrated Pre-Thanksgiving then I wouldn't want Thanksigiving to be over with so quickly? Hmm...deep thought.
how fun! I love your pre thanksgiving greetings! just think next year you'll be thankful for a little 8 month old and taking pics of her the whole time! what a cute post! love grandmas hair. classic, and one more thing...GO UTES!!!!
you're hilarious...well try to remember to call me and i'll do my part too! I'm sure this weekend will be just as hectic as last! yeah, so i told my dr on monday that from here on out i won't be in matching scrubs anymore. The ones we wear are really short in the torso to begin with...add that to being 6 1/2 mos pregnant and you get a really unattractive belly shirt! I think soon i'll just wear a tshirt on top with a lab jacket over it...then i don't have to buy anything.
You definitely win for first Thanksgiving post! Your family is so fun, what a fun idea to all play bingo together, the Christmas lights are so great!
Props for putting me on your blog post three times! #1 that smoked turkey that Taylor cooked was awesome #2 That turkey leg was awesome #3 BYU was not awesome.
Love the list! I just wanted to wish you a happy pie day tomorrow! Have fun and eat lots!
Love your Grandma's do! Hope the baby is growing well. Enjoy your sleep now, cause in a few months you won't ever sleep!
I love how excited Taylor whenever you photograph him. Funny. I have never had smoked or deep fried turkey. I hear it is amazing. I need to get me some of that.
Did taylor make that turkey smoker? I want to make a turkey smoker. PS you looked great the other day. Good luck in these last months. hey Halla was my word verification. How odd.
