We've had quite a few 'goodbyes' over the past few weeks.
Taylor has been looking forward to a science convention in the Netherlands for the better part of a year.
It finally came,
and went.
Goodbye Amsterdam
Hazel's very best friend in the whole world moved away.
It's been pretty lonely since they left.
Goodbye Crosbys
We had a great time hiking with Taylor's family up to White Pine Lake on Labor Day,
but it ended up being about 8 miles round trip.
so I'm going to say
Goodbye White Pine Lake
(at least until Hazel can walk the whole way herself).
(Don't these grubby, little, toes look just like what you would imagine a troll's foot looking like?)
And in case you didn't notice in these pictures,
we said a much anticipated goodbye to Hazel's mullet.
It was sad.
I wanted her hair to grow long,
but the mullet is in her genetics.
The back just kept getting longer
while the front stayed the same.
Taylor was in Europe with the camera
so I unfortunately didn't get any shots of the monumental event,
but believe you me, it was adorable.
I still haven't taken any pictures of the actual haircut,
but here is a 'before' and 'after' of the back.
I told you it was getting bad.
Goodbye (and good riddance) mullet

So jealous he went to Amsterdam, but at least I got to see you! I left you a comment on Facebook. Can you message me your email and I'll get you set up for this Coco lady thing.
I loved the Netherlands, It was beautiful and fascinating to visit, hopefully you will get to go next time. Love all of your pictures!
What cool things to say goodbye to! I am super impressed with the mullet genetics. Does it come from your side or Taylors???? ha ha ha I love her hair. So cute! Anyway, love the dirty legs and toes. That shows just how much fun was had! Yay for summer!
I love when little girls have a cute little bob. She looks adorable. All those chocolates look amazing.

That's soooo cool that Taylor got to go to Amsterdam! It looks fabulous! You get to go with him next time, right? :) Hazel's mullet was adorable! We have a similar situation in our family. Her haircut turned out way way cute! She's a stylish little galsy.
How have I never heard of White Pine Lake? It looks beautiful. Hazel's troll feet made me laugh. I'm sure the mullet will make another appearance. Taylor forgot to post a picture of the red light district.
i LOVE her haircut! Oh I just love it she looks so much older and it looks so darling on her. I'm glad you posted pictures from his trip, I was looking forward to seeing them, looks like it was amazing! and those chocolates mmmm! So sad for Hazel's little friend to move, hopefully she'll get to see her now and again :)
I wouldn't have thought Hazel's hair was that bad until the pictures. She is darling no matter how her hair is!! I cringed a little with those toes, you know how I am. But those are pretty grubby.
Okay, first off of COURSE Baby Hazel looks darling all the time. But, I thought I was going to DIE from all the cuteness radiating from her darling hair in those pics with Abby. I was seriously sitting here like, "OH MY GOSH!!!" So so darling. Anyway, the life of the Obergs looks so exciting, and I sure miss you guys.
That fish looks disgusting, but the chocolate looks pretty good. Amsterdam looks gorgeous. I love Hazel's grubby little feet and her new haircut, it makes me want to cut Abbi's hair. It was nice to talk to you today, we need to do it more often.
Those chocolates looked yummy. Any chance he brought some home for you? for me?
Cute, cute haircut. Funny feet...kids are great at getting dirty.
Amsterdam looks like it was fun! And doesn't it suck when good friends move away? The hike you went on looks incredibly beautiful. I love Hazels new haircut! She looks super cute :)
