Christmas 2013

Christmas Eve was spent at the Oberg's house,

where we had so much fun,
despite what Hazel's expression in these pictures may say
(she was mad at me for telling her
to take her hands off of her face after the first picture.
She was convinced that was a really "cute" pose...).
 We had delicious food,
(Hazel, alone, ate about half of the ham.
This may play into what occurred later that night...)

toasts,

chocolate fondue,

and our annual stocking picture
(which was a lot harder than it sounds.
Refer to Exhibit A)

Exhibit A:
But finally,
despite a little blurriness,
one turned out.

After which,
we shuffled the girls off to bed
so visions of sugar plums could dance through their heads...
or not.
Because much of the night was spent awake
due to Hazel's incessant vomiting,
which I was sure was due to how much ham and chocolate fondue she consumed,
but later learned that "it" was just "going around".
So glad it found us on Christmas Eve,
of all nights.

But,
she "woke up"
(honestly, we hardly slept)
in good spirits
and even started things off right
by finding that elusive pickle ornament
(which equals an extra present for the finder).

After a wonderful,
long,
crazy,
morning,
we headed down to the Frost house where we
opened stockings as long as my body,

enjoyed more present opening,

had dinner at Dan's house
and then returned home for a little nighttime frolic,

and wild game of Bang!
And another year bites the dust.
