Hello Anniversary,
here you are again.
I have to say,
that these past 9 years have gone by crazy fast.
It was fun to rewind time
and pretend like we were a "new couple" again
by ditching all of our cares and responsibilities
(i.e. kids, jobs, dissertations, budgets, etc...).
We ate our In-N-Out burgers IN THE CAR!
(you can never do that with kids)
We did the zipline course up Provo Canyon.
We ate at the delicious Copper Onion at 9:00 pm
(That's right, 9:00 pm!
Who eats that late?!?
Only footloose and fancy-free people get to eat that late,
that's who)

we stayed in the beautiful Hyatt just North of the Gateway.
(people on budgets don't get to stay at hotels)
I stayed in bed past 7:15 am,
(haven't done that in about 4.5 years)
and ate brunch at squatters
(People with kids definitely don't eat "brunch).
And to top off our weekend,
we leisurely walked around the Gateway
and spent more than 5 minutes in each store.
(kids, budgets and shopping
don't mix)
The weekend was perfect!
It was just like the old days
before life ground us down
(just kidding...)
Happy Anniversary to my man.
And a humongous "thank you!!"
to our saintly friends, the Ostlers,
for watching our kids
and making our weekend possible
We are indebted to you forever.
Here's to hoping
that next year's 10th anniversary post
has us chilling in Hawaii.
