...1 dose of steroids,
2 rounds of breathing treatments,
and 3 hours in the emergency room.
When Hazel had croup the weekend before,
it was scary.
She woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't breathe.
I ran her outside to open her bronchioles
and she seemed better.
When Nora got croup,
it was even scarier.
The wheezing wouldn't stop,
even with Vicks, a humidifier and the cool night air.
That's when we called in reinforcements
(thank you a million times over Leah and Ryan)
to stay with Hazel
(and wash our dinner dishes)
while we took Nora to the ER
and stayed until the wee hours of the morning.
All I have to say is
Thank goodness for modern medicine.
