April had me in throws
of training for the Utah Valley Half Marathon.
Despite weather that waffled between this:
and THIS:
I still managed to get some decent runs in.
However,
the weather did have us spending a lot of time indoors,
where we were left to our own devices...
Thankfully we had fun visitors to save us from ourselves.
and by the end of the month,
it was warm enough to
mow the lawn in an old-man jumpsuit and crocs,
hit up the park with cousins,
jenny-jump in the sun,
barefeet on the tramp,
and there was even one glorious day of 70-degree weather
that had all the neighbor kids
thinking it was warm enough for swimsuits and water.
April also brought us a scary situation
with the Boston Marathon Bombing.
Taylor's family was at the race
and were mere moments away
from standing where the bombs detonated.
How grateful we were for our family's safe return,
but our hearts went out to all of the people
who weren't as lucky.
