Of course we had to make the mandatory stop at the sportsman's mecca, The Bass Pro Shop. Taylor was in heaven. My favorite part was the ceiling. It looked like we were under the ocean
Straight out of Talledega Nights
This is the gigantic salt-water fish tank they had at the store,
Fremont street (the old strip), which was actually really cool.
Of course we did plenty of shopping, Taylor's favorite was the Puma Outlet and despite the fact that shopping is his least favorite activity, Taylor was a great sport and took us three girls around all day long. I think he deserves the 'Best Husband' award for that.
My friend Kaitilin lives in Vegas as well so I was able to visit her while I was down there. Her little girl Marley is about the cutest thing going and she is a true rock star. Kaitlin tells me her favorite music is AC/DC, Motley Crue, and anything punk. This mohawk was not just for the picture, she actually does her hair like that almost everyday, she said she is just being "true to Marley's personality". Kaitlin is great!
Hiking at Red Rocks
It also happened to be our nephew Ashden's third birthday while we were there. He is also the cutest thing going.
We went to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday, Ashden loved it, but I think Taylor and his brother Bennett had even more fun!
Ashden didn't want to put his shoes on, so we put them on his hands and he ended up walking around on all fours. He called them his "Dog Shoes".
Super Mex, the Best Mexican restaurant ever!

WOW! That looks like a jam packed adventure. I too love the shopping in Vegas. As for the heat...I don't think that I am ready for that just yet. I think that your husband really should get an award for the day of shopping, I know mine would not be so tolerant. As for the little mohawk...well that is impressive. I am really glad to hear that someone is taking exciting trips.
I'm not big on Vegas, but hiking at Red Rocks looks like it was fun.
I'm glad you figured out your technical difficulties and started posting again, it helps me to fill up a few more of my waking minutes with something other than pining for Kim and Megan.
p.s. how long has it been since Taylor cut his hair? I started out with a shaved head in November, so it has been 4 months, and I don't think it is half as long as his.
Mike, it's been since May since he actually "cut" his hair, but you know how his hair cuts are not really cuts, they just are trims. So he started with a whole mop of hair and not a shaved head. Keep working on it. By the way, why are you still pining for the girls? Are they still not home from Utah???
Oh, i miss Vegas. Did you know i went to Jr High and High School there? How come you have so much fun? I am really jealous. Seems like you are always doing something exciting!! How do you get time off? Maybe i need some fun times. You look great!!!
Looks like you had so much fun!!! I can hardly wait for that great weather--which is definitely better than middle of the summer and 117!!! Ashden looks so much like an Oberg--just think, that's what your little boys will look like--he's a cutie!!! (course, you may have all little girls and then we would want them to look just like you!!) You'll have to share the name of that Mexican restaurant when we go down in August.
Space camp!! That is good, don't you just love your super nerd! Marley is so cute! I love your hair, I love to check in on you and see what is "new" with your do, you are so fun with your hair! You and Taylor are such an inspiring couple, I love to watch you guys (or do we call it "blog stalk" these days? :o)
